Achievements

Maintenance of various types of safe water sources (tubewells) and sanitary latrines in rural areas is the main responsibility of the Department of Public Health Engineering.In addition, the department has directed the Union Parishad to maintain the rural water supply and sanitation infrastructure.WATSAN provides technical assistance through committees, strengthening health care and providing the necessary support for the development of the surrounding environment.As a result of rapid urbanization, the demand for municipal water supply and sanitation is increasing in the north.To meet this demand, the department provides technical assistance including construction of water supply and sanitation infrastructure in the municipalities.Assisting in planning and institutional development. Also in emergencies caused by floods, cyclones, epidemics etc.It has been implementing necessary activities to keep the safe water supply and sanitation system operational.
